Cookie and Storage Policy

This policy explains the cookies and local storage used by the Klaviero application and website (the "Service"), operated by La Lumière Consulting SRL. The Service uses only storage that is strictly necessary to provide the functionality you request, together with the account data described in our Privacy Policy. It does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. Under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, strictly necessary storage does not by itself require consent; because Klaviero requires an account, we still show a short privacy notice on your first visit where you can accept all storage, keep only what is essential, or decline. As there is no non-essential storage today, every choice lets the Service run and simply records your preference.

1. Storage used by the Service

The following items are stored in your browser (in localStorage or IndexedDB). They are not transmitted to third parties for advertising or analytics purposes.

nk-token	Maintains your authenticated session so you remain signed in.
nk-plan	Records your subscription status so the Service functions when offline.
nk-history, nk-profile, nk-library	Store your practice history, level and imported pieces.
nk-theme and related settings	Store your display preferences.
nk-cookie-ack, nk-consent	Record that you have seen the privacy notice and the choice you made (accept all, essential only, or decline).

You may delete this storage at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will end your session and reset your preferences.

2. Third-party services

Two third-party services set their own cookies, and only when you actively use them:

• Google Sign-In. If you open the sign-in panel and choose to continue with Google, Google's sign-in library loads and may set cookies. It does not load otherwise. See the Google cookie information.
• Stripe and Stripe Link. When you proceed to checkout, payment takes place on Stripe's pages, where Stripe and its Link wallet set cookies necessary for payment processing and fraud prevention. See the Stripe cookie policy.

These providers act as recipients for the specific function you initiate. We do not control the cookies they set.

3. Changes

If we introduce any non-essential storage, analytics or advertising in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent beforehand, honouring the choice you made in the privacy notice. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser storage.
