Rondo alla Turca is the third and last movement of Mozart's Piano Sonata No. 11 in A major, K. 331, which Artaria published in 1784 together with the sonatas K. 330 and K. 332. Mozart marked the movement Alla turca himself; Turkish March and Turkish Rondo are the popular names, and it is often played on its own. It is an irregular rondo. An opening section in A minor sets a rising sixteenth-note melody over staccato eighth notes. The refrain, in A major, is a loud march in octaves over arpeggiated chords that imitates a Turkish Janissary band. A middle section in F sharp minor runs sixteenth notes over broken chords, the refrain comes back, and a coda of chords and octaves closes the piece. In 2014 four pages of Mozart's autograph of the sonata turned up in the National Széchényi Library in Budapest. This chart is built from Mutopia's engraving and holds 1,614 notes over 4:15, split almost evenly between the hands, 838 right and 776 left. It averages 6.3 notes per second and peaks at 7.6 between 0:50 and 1:15, so the work is keeping the octaves and the staccato accompaniment clean for four minutes, not getting through one hard passage.

The Alla turca finale of Mozart's Sonata K. 331, one of his best-known piano pieces.

It averages 6.3 notes per second against a peak of 7.6, so the busiest bar is barely harder than the rest and there is nowhere to recover. The right hand plays 52% of the 1,614 notes and the left 48%. The notes run D2 to E6, so a 49-key board will not cover it and a 61-key one will. Klaviero rates it tier 4 of 5.
