Träumerei is No. 7 of Robert Schumann's Kinderszenen (Scenes from Childhood), Op. 15, a set of thirteen piano pieces written in 1838, and it is one of the best known pieces Schumann wrote. He wrote thirty movements for the work and chose thirteen; the unused ones were published later in Bunte Blätter, Op. 99, and Albumblätter, Op. 124. The set was first called Leichte Stücke, Easy Pieces, and the titles were added only after the music was finished; Schumann called them nothing more than delicate hints for performance. No complete manuscript of Kinderszenen is known. Träumerei is the opening and closing theme of the 1947 film Song of Love, and a 1944 German film about Schumann is named after it. The chart is slow and sparse: 456 notes over 2:07, 3.6 per second on average and 4.1 at the busiest, 0:06 to 0:31. One note, the low B flat1, falls below a 61-key keyboard; the highest note is B flat5.

No. 7 of Schumann's Kinderszenen, Op. 15, and one of his best known pieces.

It runs at about 3.6 notes per second and peaks at 4.1. The right hand plays 57% of the 456 notes and the left 43%. The notes run B flat1 to B flat5, 4 octaves, which is past what a 61-key board reaches at one end or the other. Klaviero rates it tier 3 of 5.
