Play your own song as falling notes
Drop a MIDI file into Klaviero and it plays as falling notes, free. Drop an MP3 and Premium turns it into notes you can play.
The piece you actually want to play is often not in any library: the theme from a game, an anime opening, a song you love. Bring it. The notes fall onto the keys, you press them, and every note gets judged the same way as any other piece.
You need a computer, and a file of the song. Your computer keyboard reaches 17 keys, enough to start. A MIDI keyboard covers every key and both hands, in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Opera on a desktop or laptop. Full requirements.
From a MIDI file
Press the add button in the library and pick the file, or drop it on the page. It plays right away and stays on your shelf. This part is free, forever, and needs no account.
From an MP3
Pick the file and Klaviero listens to it in your browser, then gives you four levels: Beginner is the melody only, Intermediate adds the bass, Advanced has chords in both hands, and Full is the raw transcription. A clean recording works best. MP3 to falling notes is a Premium tool.
Game and anime music
A MIDI file of a game soundtrack or an anime theme plays like anything else. Practice mode waits for the right note, so a fast piece can be learned one note at a time, and you can slow it down until your hands catch up.
Your own playing
Play in Compose and Klaviero records it as falling notes. Composing, replaying and exporting a MIDI file stay free. Keeping and editing your own pieces is Premium.
